Hey everyone — I wanted to share my take on “Someone You Loved.”

When I first heard the song, it stuck with me right away. The lyrics hit close to home, and I kept coming back to it. After a while, I felt like I had to try my own version of it, just to see if I could do it justice in my own style.

Recording it wasn’t exactly smooth. There were a lot of moments where I second-guessed things or felt stuck, but I just kept chipping away at it. I didn’t want to overthink it too much — just focus on getting something honest down.

This cover isn’t about trying to outdo the original. It’s more just my way of showing respect to a song that meant something to me, and seeing what it sounds like through a heavier lens.
