Inspiration Behind the Song

For as long as I can remember, I've had a deep appreciation for big band swing and similar musical styles. The idea for "Baby, That’s Just Me" has been brewing in my mind for quite some time. However, the idea of diving into a whole new genre, for one song, was initially overwhelming. But over time I began piecing things together.

The lyrics for "Baby, That’s Just Me" were actually penned several years ago. One day, while experimenting with a jazz-style track, everything clicked into place. It was like a light bulb moment. I swiftly grabbed my phone and started delving the depths of my notepad for the lyrics I knew were buried there. Before I knew it, "Baby, That’s Just Me" was born.

I put a lot l into this track. It was a real labor to learn something so far outside my norm, and to make it sound cohesive. Even mixing this song was unlike what I’ve worked on in the past. But it was a labor of love, and I genuinely hope you all enjoy it as much as I do!
